A new approach to breast health — understanding and supporting the natural processes of a woman's body through non-invasive imaging and lifestyle guidance.
This study is a joint project between two Austrian non-profit associations (Vereins): The Green Precautionary Institute and the International Preventative Breast Health Association. They have a formal agreement to conduct this scientific research together.
The project is based on years of experience (since 2013) from De Groene Zuster and Leeef! Center for Breast Health. They have built extensive expertise in thermography, preventive care, and ultrasound breast exams. By combining this knowledge in an international structure, we can conduct research that is sustainable and scientifically sound.
We focus on a new, preventive way of looking at breast health. Instead of only looking for disease, we aim to understand and support the natural processes of a woman's body.
We will compare women who actively invest in their health — using thermography, ABUS ultrasound, and lifestyle advice — with national breast cancer statistics.
Normal thermography results, normal ultrasound. Participant continues with annual check-up monitoring.
Minor imbalances detected, normal ultrasound. Preventive advice including lifestyle changes, dry brushing, improving lymphatic drainage, and better nutrition.
Concerning findings detected. Direct referral to standard medical care for further evaluation and treatment.
The core hypothesis of the study is: By addressing early physiological disturbances — such as inflammation or lymphatic stagnation — before they develop into structural abnormalities, the incidence of breast cancer can be reduced.
We chose an Austrian "Verein" (association) structure for a strategic reason. In many countries, healthcare is mostly focused on illness and medical treatment. Preventive check-ups without existing complaints often don't fit into the standard system.
Austria offers a unique framework where preventive health (Gesundheitsvorsorge) is officially recognized, education, research, and complementary care can work together, and innovative, non-invasive methods are given space.
Legally, a Verein is not a commercial clinic, but a social organization for education and research. This allows us to use thermography and ultrasound as educational tools and work independently with international experts.
Are you a certified thermographer or sonographer looking to prove the power of preventive breast health? We are inviting practitioners worldwide to join this landmark study.
Even if your practice currently offers only one modality, you can still play a vital role.
You perform both thermography and ABUS ultrasound according to our standardized scientific protocol.
You specialize in one modality and partner with a local colleague to provide complete data for the study.
You contribute data within your specific field. This data is integrated into our secondary research database focused on longitudinal trends.
The Green Precautionary Institute explicitly focuses on education, prevention, and scientific support. Our examinations are strictly preventative and intended for educational purposes only. We do not perform breast cancer screening, nor do we make medical diagnoses.
